In 1972, Catherine Ellett and the TWST started the tradition of a "mini meet" for the
5, 6, and 7 year old kids. That first year saw 41 swimmers participate with each getting a ribbon. Today, the event hosts 7 MCSL swim teams and has 28 events for kids 8 and under.
In 2010, the mini meet was renamed in honor of TWST member Céline Silver.

Rules for Eligibility:
1. The mini meet is for swimmers 8 years old and under.
2. Events will be broken down by age per event; i.e. 6 & under boys, 6 & under girls, 7 year old boys, 7 year old girls, 8 year old boys, 8 year old girls.
3. Events are IM, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and a special kickboard event (see order of events).
4. Swimmers may not swim in an event if they have swum that event in a Saturday meet
during this season.
5. If a swimmer has swum 3 different strokes in the Saturday meets this season, then that swimmer may only swim IM in the mini meet.
6. Each child may only swim three (3) events.
7. There will be no DQs and all swimmers will get ribbons.
8. A child must be able to swim across the pool unassisted in order to be eligible to swim a given event.
9. Parents may not jump in the pool to assist a child. Only the coach of the child's team may jump into the pool to assist a panicking child.
