Order of events
The mini meet is for swimmers 8 years old and under.
Events will be broken down by age per event; i.e. 6 & under boys, 6 & under girls, 7 year old boys, 7 year old girls, 8 year old boys, 8 year old girls.
Events are IM, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and a special kickboard event (see order of events).
Swimmers may not swim in an event if they have swum that event in an A meet during this season.
If a swimmer has swum 3 different strokes in A meets this season, then
that swimmer may only swim IM in the mini meet.
Each child may only swim three (3) events.
There will be no DQs and all heats will get place ribbons.
Each child will get a winner medal following the finish of their first event.
A child must be able to swim across the pool unassisted in order to be eligible to swim a given event.
Parents may not jump in the pool to assist a child. Only the coach of the child's team may jump into the pool to assist a panicking child.
Teenage timers and ribbon stickers are welcome to help. They may arrange to have these work hours fill high school graduation requirements for community service if they contact their high school guidance counselors ahead of time.
